(KLZA) -- Strong thunderstorms that moved across portion of the listening area Thursday afternoon caused building and tree damage in Nemaha County, Nebraska.
Nemaha County Emergency Management Director Renee Critser provided information on the damage including building damage near the Peru Corner on Highway 75 north of Auburn the led to a big rig accident. ( play audio )
Richardson County Emergency Management was asked by the National Weather Service to check for damage in the Rulo and Preston area’s due to the possibility of strong winds and hail indicated by Rulo but no significant damage was discovered. There were reports of heavy downpours in the White Cloud area.
