(KAIR)--A fisherman got quite a surprise last Thursday when he found a dead body along the shoreline of the Missouri River in Platte County, Missouri.
The Platte County Sheriff's department was notified and responded immediately. Due to the rough terrain along the river it took some time to get to the location of the body. The area where the body was found is in the unincorporated area of Platte County, near the township of Waldron, Missouri.
The only known information about the body at this time is that it is a white male in his 20s or 30s. The cause of death or how the body ended up where it did is unknown.
The body did have several tattoos on it, and the sheriff's office is asking is anyone recognizes these tattoos and may have information on the identity of this person, to call the Platte County Sheriff's office at 816-858-3521 or the TIPS hotline at 816-474-tips.
