Royalty Crowned on Opening Night of Richardson Co Fair

(KTNC) -  The 2013 Richardson County Fair began Wednesday night with the coronation of the Fair Royalty that will preside over this year’s fair.
 First District State Senator Dan Watermeier announced the name of this year’s Fair Queen – Lindsay Harlow of Dawson, whois a junior at HTRS High School.
 The first runner-up was Casey McNealy.  Haley Workman was the second runner-up, Rachel Parrish the third runner-up, and Kasey Kappel was the fourth runner-up.
 The coronation also included the announcement of the 2013 King and the Woman of the Year.
 The 2013 Richardson County Fair King is longtime Richardson County Deputy John Larson.
 The Woman of the Year, selected by the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce, is Harriett Leech.
 The coronation program also included music from the HTRS 5th grade class and presentation of Keys to the City of Humboldt to last year’s King Ken Kuhlmann and Queen Toni Kean.
 The Richardson County Free Fair continues through Saturday in Humboldt, with activities going on at the Fairgrounds and around the Square.  The theme of the the 2013 Fair is "Garden of Dreams." Parades are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
