( KNZA )--The Jefferson County Commission has adopted a 2014 budget of $17.5 million that calls for a slight decrease in the property tax levy.
The budget contains an estimated tax rate of 69.87 mills. The mill levy is to raise more than $10.4 million.
The budget was adopted Monday following a hearing drawing no public comment.
