( KNZA )--A 50-year-old Perry man escaped serious injury in a motorcycle accident on U.S. 24 Highway in Jefferson County Sunday afternoon.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says Michael Lee Booth was traveling west and attempted to exit to K-4, but his speed was too fast. His 1995 Harley-Davidson motorcycle left the exit ramp and crashed into a grassy embankment.
Booth was transported to Topeka’s Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center for treatment of possible injuries.
The Patrol says he wasn’t wearing a helmet, but was wearing eye protection.
The accident was reported around 2:15 Sunday afternoon.
