(KNZA)--A new Executive Director is selected for the Saint Joseph, Missouri based Second Harvest Community Food Bank, which provides assistance to communities in the local area.
Named to the role, following his selection by the Board of Directors is Chad Higdon, a lifelong resident of Saint Joseph, who has filled the role as interim Executive Director for the past seven months.
He is also a former member of the Second Harvest Board of Directors, having served in that capactiy from December 2009 to December 2012, acting as Board Chair for more than a year.
Higdon, who serves as the President of the Saint Joseph Southside Rotary, previously worked for Missouri Congressman Sam Graves as a field representative for 10 years. During that time, he managed the successful Graves for Congress campaign in 2010.
Choosing Higdon to fill the position follows an in-depth, five month search, with over 100 resumes, from across the country, submitted as candidates for the Executive Director's seat.
