(KAIR)--Bridge inspection work means a full closure of Leavenworth's K-92 Centennial Bridge Friday, July 26, with motorists needing to use alternate routes as the work is conducted.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says both lanes of traffic will be shut down, from 9:00 that Friday morning until 3:30 that afternoon, if weather allows.
Although there will be no marked detour, KDOT is suggesting that motorists use either the Amelia Earhart Memorial Bridge in Atchison or the I-436 River Bridge in Wyandotte County.
The inspection work is expected to last just the one day.
