(KNZA)--The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is seeking help from the public in gaining information related to a stolen vehicle found burned in a rural northern county area.
Sheriff Tim Morse says the gold 2005 Dodge Durango was found smoldering on 278th Road, west of T Road, shortly after 6:00 Monday morning.
Completely burned once deputies arrived on the scene, investigators traced the vehicle to a Manhattan address where the resident, and owner of the vehicle, had reported it stolen to Riley County Police Monday morning.
Morse is encouraging anyone with information related to the case to notify his department at 785-364-2251.
