( KNZA )--A longtime former Brown County employee has been recognized.
County Commission Chairman Keith Olsen Monday presented Karen Lehmkuhl with a plaque for her 21 years of service to the county. Lehmkuhl recently retired from the county clerk’s office.
In other business, county resident Joan Heisort met with the commission to express her concerns about motorists speeding on Horned Owl Road. Commissioner Steve Roberts said the road is not posted, which means the speed limit is 55 miles an hour. Commissioners said they would talk to the sheriff about having deputies patrol the road extra.
And the commission appointed Laura Strube of Horton to the dispatch advisory board to fill the position that had been held by Sheriff John Merchant
