( KNZA )--Beginning mid-morning Monday ( June 24th ), eastbound and westbound 290th Road access on the east side of the U.S. 75 intersection will be closed north of Sabetha for a box culvert replacement project.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says crews will tear out the existing 10-by 8 foot structure and replace it with a 12-by-10 foot reinforced concrete box.
The work is part of the U.S. 75 Phase 2 Reconstruction Project taking place in Brown and Nemaha Counties.
No marked detour will be provided. Drivers must use alternate routes during the roadway closure.
The road is to re-open to traffic in mid-to-late July, weather permitting.
