( KMZA )--The Marshall County Relay for Life will be held this weekend at the Homer Hanson Stadium in Marysville.
The 12-hour event will begin Friday evening at 6 o’clock with the opening ceremony, followed by the survivors’ lap, and will run through 6 Saturday morning.
A luminary ceremony will be held at 10 o’clock. Live DJ music will be provided all night by Outlaw Bill.
A pulled pork dinner will take place from 5 to 8 and will be prepared by Second Street Restaurant in Frankfort. A freewill donation will be taken.
Organizers say a variety of “Wizard of Oz” type games are planned, including tin can man races and ruby red slipper races.
New this year is a live auction at 9 o’clock. A silent auction will also be conducted.
The theme for this year’s event is “ There’s No Place Like Hope”.
All funds raised will go to benefit the American Cancer Society.
