(KNZA)--A $20,000 donation to USD 430 is being put to use, with purchases, in honor of a Horton High School graduate, now made.
That follows the donation provided by C.J. Scott, on behalf of his father, Donald Scott, who graduated in May of 1940.
Following discussion between the younger Scott, Doctor Steve Davies, Superintendent for the South Brown County Schools, and the School Board, it was decided where to spend the money.
Chosen was a new high school scoreboard, which was needed but unaffordable without the donation, a keyboard piano, and wireless computer equipment.
The elder Scott's name will be placed on the scoreboard in his memory.
