(KLZA) The Auburn City Council has tabled action on a proposal to use Auburn Board of Public Works Electrical Reserves for the West Waterline Project. Mayor Scott Kudrna provides some background information on the project. ( play audio :13 seconds )
Mayor Kudrna pointed out a positive from the proposed project in addition to providing water to a development area. ( play audio :19 seconds)

While the proposed project has been discussed for many years, the last two years the projected costs of the project have increased substantially. ( play audio :13 seconds )
Mayor Kudrna says TIF monies would pay for about $350,000 of the cost of the project and the Board of Public Works would make up the difference.
Kudrna says a public hearing on this project will be held. He Mayor talked about some of the misinformation he has heard about the waterline project. ( play audio :32 seconds )
In other business the Auburn City Council did approve at the request of the Board of Public Works, approximately 15 sewer liens against real estate on delinquent accounts at an average cost of $38 each and approximately the same number of water liens at an average cost of $63 for each property.
