USD 115 Board Approves Fees for 2013-2014
05/17/2013

( KMZA )-  With the 2012-2013 school year coming to a close, the Nemaha Central USD 115 board of education this week approved fees for next school year.

Among the changes is the establishment of a fee for the district’s pre-school program.

The program has been free for students ages 3 and 4.

Superintendent Darrel Kohlman recommended that fees be set for the program.  He said the district used “ At Risk” money to fund the program in the beginning.  However, he said the program has grown since then, and now needs additional funding.

The board approved setting the fee for three-year-olds at $25 per semester and $50 a semester for four-year-olds.

Rates for the Raider Academy will also increase from $4 a day to $5 a day if the student attends past 4 o’clock in the afternoon. If the student is picked up before 4, the rate will be $2.50 a day instead of the former  $2 a day.

In addition, all breakfast and lunch prices will increase 10 cents to meet federal requirements.
