(KTNC) - Ten graduating seniors – eight from Falls City High School and two from Falls City Sacred Heart – were honored Wednesday during the Falls City Rotary Club’s Honors Banquet.
The students were recognized for their achievements in the classroom, and for their accomplishments in various school and community activities.
The students honored were, from Falls City High: Courtney Chapple, Ashley Crawford, Elizabeth Eickhoff, Cord Huettner, Bethany Lampe, Claire Poppe, David von Behren, and Amy Wiltse; and from Sacred Heart: Janey Malcolm and Matt Mullins.
Four students were awarded scholarships. The Rotary Scholarship was awarded to David von Behren; the Nellie Ebel Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Bethany Lampe; Elizabeth Eickhoff was awarded the Louis Ebel Memorial Scholarship; and the Wilber Resh Math Scholarship was awarded to Ashley Crawford.
The evening concluded with a presentation on “Comic Book Physics 101” from Dr. Daniel Claes, a Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
