(KAIR)--A new, permanent memorial to an Atchison Police Officer killed in the line of duty is now in place at Atchison City Hall.
Seargeant David Enzbrenner was killed in the line of duty on December 9th, 2011, as he was assisting with the delivery of a nuisance notice.
Now, he is memorialized with a large photograph, and plaque, placed in the city hall hallway, located in between his former office and the doorway to the Police Department.
The plaque, made from black granite, was created by Atchison's Byrd Memorial.
The placement of the memorial comes in advance of the May 15th National Peace Officers Memorial Day.
