(KAIR) -- The combined choirs of Benedictine College and the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, will present a concert of English Masterworks on Sunday afternoon at three in Annunciation Chapel on the campus of the University of Saint Mary.
The two groups will perform the concert again on Sunday, April 14, at 3:00 p.m. in St. Benedict’s Abbey Church.
The program will include "O God, Beyond All Praising" by Gustav Holst, "O Clap Your Hands" by Ralph Vaughan Williams and theRequiem by John Rutter.
Students from both institutions will be featured as soloists including Benedictine students, Rachel Noffke and Katrina Keat for the April 14 performance.
A special performance by the Benedictine Brass under the direction of Mr. Ted Hanman will feature a fanfare as well as accompaniment for two numbers.
Dr. William Krusemark, Professor and Chair of the Fine Arts Division at the University of Saint Mary, will conduct the program and Dr. Ruth Krusemark, Professor and Chair of the Benedictine College Music Department and Mother Evangelista Kremmeter will serve as organist.
Both programs are free and the public is cordially invited to attend.
