New Horton Hospital CEO On The Job

(KNZA)--The new CEO of the Horton Community Hospital is on the job, as Chris Barlow begins his third week in the role(Play Audio)

As he settles into the position, Barlow is also working to become aquainted with the Horton Community(Play Audio)

Despite his short time on the job, Barlow doesn't hesitate when asked what his key goal as CEO is(Play Audio)

It was just in recent weeks that the company which owns the Horton Community Hospital, HMC/CAH Consolidated, Inc., announced they have emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, following 15 months of reorganization efforts.

Barlow says that fact is the key financially when it comes to making a new hospital a reality(Play Audio)

Plans for the new hosptial have been years in the making, with the City of Horotn having already expended time, and money, installing sewer hookups to the planned site of construction.

Barlow says that location, on the north edge of Horton, along U.S. Highway 73, remains the same, but a timeline for when a groundbreaking could possibly be held remains up in the air.
