Special Meeting Set to Decide Future of B & B Facility
( KMZA )-The Nemaha Central USD 115 Board of Education will make a decision on the future of the B & B facility during a special meeting March 20th.
The meeting will take place at 6 o’clock that evening in the Nemaha Valley Elementary and Middle School gym in Seneca.
More than 300 people attended one of three community meetings last week to discuss three options for the future of the B & B Jr./Senior High School.
Option one is to establish a 6th-8th grade middle school at B & B with the other grades attending school in Seneca. Option two is to close the B & B facility and option 3 is to transition the closing of the school over time, with the junior high closing first followed by the high school.
The board during their regular meeting this week requested financial information regarding each option. That information is to be presented at their next meeting, March 11th.
