(KAIR) -- A former Mayor of Atchison has died.
Maurice “Scott” Knoch, Junior died Tuesday in La Feria , Texas of an apparent heart attack.
Knoch served on the City Commission from 1993 to 1999 and was Mayor of Atchison from 1996 to 1998.
He also owned Atchison Pattern Works Company from 1970 until 2001, before moving to Texas.
His wife, Pat, who passed away in 2003, had an integral role in the founding of the Atchison Chamber of Commerce.
Services are set for Monday afternoon at two at the First Christian Church in Atchison.
