(KLZA) Unemployment rates increased in Nebraska and in the counties making up extreme Southeast Nebraska in December from the previous month.
Nemaha County Nebraska had the biggest jump in unemployment in the area, up 9-tenths of a point to 4.9 percent.
In Richardson County, the unemployment rate increase 5 tenths of a point, also to 4.9 percent.
The unemployment rate climbed 4-tenths of percent in Johnson and Pawnee counties to 3.5 percent in Johnson County and 2.8 percent in Pawnee County.
In Gage County, the unemployment rate was up half a percentage point to 4.5 percent and in Otoe County the jobless rate increased 5 tenths of a point to 3.9 percent.
Statewide for December the unemployment rate was up 3 tenths to 3.7 percent.
