(KMZA)--The City of Seneca is mourning this week's death of the city's former Police Chief.
Steve Jones was 68 when he died Thursday at the Nemaha Valley Hospital.
Jones started with the Seneca Police Department as an officer in 1975; and, following nearly 26-years as Chief, retired September 20th, 2009.
Jones, who served in the United States Air Force, was known for his love of motorcycles, playing the piano and staying fit.
He is survived by his wife, Leanne, 8 sons, and one daughter.
Services are set for Monday morning at 11:00 at the United Methodist Church in Seneca. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
