( KMZA )-Seneca Mayor Joe Mitchell will face no opposition in his bid for re-election to another term.
Mitchell filed for re-election before Tuesday’s deadline.
An additional candidate also filed before the deadline for a position on the Prairie Hills USD 113 Board of Education.
Kent Kuckelman of Axtell filed for position six, which is currently held by Mary Jane Ronnebaum who didn’t seek re-election.
There will be a race for a position on the Nemaha Central USD 115 Board of Education.
Alan Schmitz is challenging incumbent Jean Placke for position 6.
The general election will be held April 2nd.
