( KMZA)-Nemaha County ( Ks ) employees are receiving a pay raise.
The county commission this week approved the 2013 reorganization which includes a 30 cent an hour raise for hourly employees and $650 per year for salaried employees.
In other business, County Clerk Mary Kay Schultejans requested permission to advertise to hire a full-time person in her office.
Following discussion, the commission granted the request.
The commission granted County Appraiser Betty Roeder approval to switch her GIS database to a new system. The total cost to convert the data and train her employees on the new system will be $13,470.
And the commission approved the appropriation of $2,000 each to the Glacial Hills RC&D and to Northeast Kansas Enterprise Facilitation for 2013.
The commission hold their regular meeting next week on Tuesday due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday Monday.
