(KNZA)--The Brown County Sheriff's Department joins the search for a 28-year-old man wanted in Sabetha following the theft of a car in December.
Now, Brown County Sheriff John Merchant says his deparment is seeking Jacinto “Cacho” Ramirez on an unspecified Brown County warrant.
Sabetha Police began the search for Ramirez in December after a 1991 Toyota Camry-later recovered in Saint Joseph, Missouri-was stolen when parked at a Sabetha residence.
Investigators believe Ramirez, who has ties to both Sabetha and Hiawatha, may now be staying in Saint Joseph or Topeka.
He's identified as a Hispanic male standing 5 foot 9, weighing
215 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts are urged to contact authorities.
