(KLZA) A meeting is scheduled for 2 p-m Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall of the Rock Port United Methodist Church to organize volunteers for the Rock Port, Missouri, Food Pantry for 2013.
The Rock Port Ministerial Alliance wants to express thanks to all those who volunteered their time and service to the Rock Port Food Pantry in 2012, helping eliminate hunger in the Rock Port and Watson communities. All the food donations to the food pantry and also appreciated.
The State of Missouri is giving a state tax credit for anyone who contributes to certified food banks or pantries in the state. If you donated you can stop by the Rock Port United Methodist Church to obtain a copy of the special form.
If you are interested in helping with the Food Pantry in 2013, your are encouraged to participate in the meeting on Wednesday. If you can’t make it to the meeting but want information you may call 660-744-2101 to arrange a time for orientation.
The Rock Port Food Pantry is open the 1st and 3thd Tuesday’s of the month from 10 a-m until noon and the 2nd and 4th Friday’s from 5 – 6:30 p-m.
