(KNZA)--Rescue crews, late Thursday morning, braved the cold strong winds and snow to battle a trailer home fire that broke out 3 miles west of Horton.
South Brown County area crews, along with the Brown County Rescue Squad, rushed to the home shortly before 11:00.
Horton Fire Chief Lamar Shoemaker says the trailer home is a total loss.
The resident renting the trailer had only recently moved in, and was able to retrieve only a small amount of personal property before escaping from the blaze.
No injuries are reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown and the investigation is continuing. However, it's not considered suspicious.
