( KNZA )-The Brown County Sheriff’s office has received a seven thousand dollar donation from the Sac and Fox Tribal Council.
Sheriff John Merchant said the donation will be used to purchase two thermal imaging units for two of the sheriff’s departments patrol cars.
He said the units will allow officers to detect a suspect in total darkness, through smoke, moderate fog and light foliage.
Merchant thanked the Tribe for the donation, which was received last week.
