( KNZA )-A Wathena man is facing a charge of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
58-year-old Sonnie Suman is to make his first appearance in Doniphan County Court on the felony charge January 10th.
Suman was arrested November 9th following an investigation by the Wathena Police Department.
In a separate case, a Wathena man convicted of lewd and lascivious behavior and unlawful voluntary sexual relations has been placed on probation.
Joshua Dean Russell was sentenced in Doniphan County District Court to 7 months in prison on each count. However, the prison sentence was suspended and he was placed on supervised probation for 12 months.
Two other felony counts against Russell--aggravated indecent solicitation of a child and aggravated indecent liberties with a child—were dismissed by the state.
