(KLZA) Falls City Economic Development and Growth Enterprise Executive Director Beckie Cromer informed the City Council that EDGE supported a request from Vantec for a second 18 month extension of the memorandum of understanding between the City and the company. Vantec make plastic parts for companies and right after they moved into the Spec Building several years ago the economic downturn hit and has adversely affected their business and expected growth.
Cromer said the company owners were recently in Falls City to discuss the agreement. ( play audio :40 seconds )
City Administrator Gary Jorn said the only part of the agreement not met is the number of employees the company agreed to have. ( play audio :25 seconds )
Following the discussion the Council approved the extension of the agreement.
