( KNZA )-A single-vehicle accident on U.S. 75 Highway in Jackson County Sunday evening about 3 ½ miles north of Holton sent a Topeka man to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 28-year-old Brent Suther swerved to miss a deer. Suther overcorrected and his sport utility vehicle went into a ditch.
Suther was transported to the Holton Community Hospital.
The Patrol says he was wearing a seat belt.
The accident was reported shortly after 6:45 Sunday evening.
