Information on Humboldt Auditorium Renovation Progress to be Featured at Thursday Meeting
(KTNC) - The public is invited to visit the Humboldt Auditorium this Thursday evening. The Friends of the Auditorium and Auditorium Board will hold its annual informational meeting at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will include tours of the building beginning at 3:30 Thursday afternoon. It will be a chance to see the progress that has been made at the Auditorium to date. The new preliminary plans will be on display, along with the original theater curtain.
The list of speakers for the 7:00 p.m. program includes Jill Dolberg of the Nebraska State Historical Society; Randall Cantrell of the University of Nebraska Rural Development initiative; Vance Kelly of the architect, Treanor Associates of Topeka; and Kevin Anderson of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. Members of the Friends of the Humboldt Auditorium will also be on hand.
Miss Nebraska Teen Jamie Wilhelm will also give a presentation.
The meeting will offer a chance to meet with the speakers following the presentation, learn why the Auditorium is a valuable resource in the area, and plans for how the building will be used.
Meeting organizers say the main floor of the Auditorium will be handicap accessible for the meeting, but the restrooms will not be functional.
