(KNZA)--It's been around for 98 years, and the season is upon us once again, as Hiawatha is set to celebrate Halloween with trick or treating, costume contests, and the annual parade, all part of the approaching “Halloween Frolic”
Being held under the theme, “The End of the World,” Hiawatha Chamber of Commerce administrator Stacy Babb says registration for entry into the parade, the highlight of the annual celebration of all things spooky, is set for Wednesday(Play Audio)
Babb says, prior to the evening parade, numerous other spooky events, including the traditional children's parade, will be held(Play Audio)
Local children will again take to the streets early, going from door to door collecting their treats in advance of “The Halloween Frolic.” The young costumed ghosts, ghouls, pirates and princesses will make their rounds for two nights, with Trick or Treat nights being held October 29th and the 30th.
