( KNZA )-The Fall Forestry Field Day will take place Friday at the Kickapoo Pow Wow Grounds along K-20 Highway west of Horton.
The event is held at a different location in Kansas each year.
Delaware River WRAPS Coordinator Marlene Bosworth says fun and educational sessions will be offered throughout the day that deal with a variety of topics along with a variety of demonstrations and exhibits...( play audio )
Registration will begin at 8:30 Friday morning, with activities starting at 9 and concluding by 3. Lunch will also be provided on site by Thunder Alley Barbeque in Horton.
Bosworth says those who plan to attend should pre-register by calling the Kansas Forest Service at 785-532-3300. A $12 registration fee covers the cost of lunch, refreshments and other materials.
