( KMZA )-- A single-vehicle accident at the junction of K-9 and K-63 Highways about five miles east of Centralia Monday afternoon sent a Winnie, Texas man to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Kimberly Bagwell was traveling north on K-63 when he swerved to miss a vehicle that was stopped in the roadway waiting to turn west at the K-9 junction.
Bagwell’s dump truck left the roadway on the east side and continued past 88th Street. The Patrol says he lost control of the vehicle, over-corrected, and the truck overturned onto its passenger side.
Bagwell was transported to the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca.
The Patrol says he was wearing a seatbelt.
The accident was reported shortly before 3:30 Monday afternoon.
