Creating Success In the Classroom
09/04/2012

(KNZA)--Now that the fall semester has arrived, students return to the world of classrooms, testing and homework.

While the school day is spent under the watchful eye of teachers, the National Education Association is reminding parents of  the role they play in their child's education(Play Audio)

That's Becky Pringle, Secretary-Treasurer for the NEA, the country's largest educator's union(Play Audio)

Pringle says the key to success is creating the proper home environment for education(Play Audio)

Pringle says parents should also work to develop strong relationships within the child's school, taking time to get to know the teachers, and others with whom the child interacts during the classroom day(Play Audio)

Pringle, a classroom teacher of over 30-years, says student success can be simple if parents keep one thought in mind: Learning shouldn't stop when the school bell rings, as a parent is the main component of a child's education team, and the key to making sure that learning never stops.
