( KMZA )-- A man allegedly involved in an ambush shootout in Louisiana that left two deputies dead and two others wounded was wanted in Marshall County, Kansas.
29-year-old Kyle Joekel was among seven men arrested following the incident early Thursday morning in St. John Baptist Parish near New Orleans.
Joekel was reportedly injured during the shootout.
He was wanted in Marshall County on a warrant for several felony charges stemming from a chase last August that ended when he crashed his vehicle into a home in Oketo.
A manhunt followed, but Joekel was not found.
Authorities were on the lookout for the Nebraska man because he had reportedly made earlier comments that he was going to Kansas to kill law enforcement.
Joekel was also wanted in Gage County, Nebraska on drug and conspiracy charges, and had failed to show up for a hearing in that state.
