(KNZA)--A Horton couple finds themselves called to assist those in need; and instead of working on a large unattainable goal, focus their efforts in their own front yard, literally.
Ashlee and Dan Hoffman have begun what resembles a garage sale every Saturday; however, instead of looking to make money on the goods laid out on the lawn, they want to give them away, trade them, or do whatever else might help get the items into the hands of those who need them(Play Audio)
The Hoffman's have also been working to find corporate sponsors to assist with finding items identified as needed by members of the community(Play Audio)
So far, those efforts are gaining traction, including their recent success in securing a working oven for a woman who could not afford one when hers went out.
“God's Closet is open every Saturday, in Horton, from 10 in the morning until 2:00 in the afternoon.
