( KNZA )-A young Hiawatha man was arrested early this ( Friday ) morning after the alleged random attack of another man.
Hiawatha Police received a report of a battery that occurred in the 900 block of Oregon Street around 1:40 this ( Friday ) morning.
Police say a 43-year-old man was walking west on the south side of Oregon Street when an unknown male ran up behind him and tackled him.
The victim received multiple abrasions. The suspect then fled on foot.
The victim was able to provide police with a description of the attacker and a possible suspect vehicle.
Following an investigation, police arrested 19-year-old Michael Costa on a charge of battery.
