Luncheon set for Rock Port Teachers; Donations Sought for Backpack Program
The churches of the Rock Port Ministerial Alliance will hold their annual School Personnel Appreciation Luncheon at noon on Tuesday, August 14th in the fellowship hall of the Rock Port United Methodist Church.
The annual luncheon is meant to give teachers, school administrators, and support staff an opportunity to eat lunch together before children arrive for the first day of classes.
The Rock Port Ministerial Alliance is also continuing to seek funding for the “Backpack Buddies” program, which provides food to children on weekends during the school year.
A $150 donation will fund a backpack for one child. The Ministerial Alliance says all donations are welcome to support the program in the Rock Port School District.
Checks can be made out to “Rock Port Ministerial Alliance,” with Backpack Buddies inserted on the memo line, and sent to Post Office Box 226, Rock Port, Missouri, 64482.
