Sabetha Notches Win Over Atchison and Claims League Title at the Same Time

Graham Droge pitched six innings of two-hit baseball and Sabetha scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth for a 6-1 victory over Atchison.  Droge struck out seven and only allowed one walk.  Sabetha's rallied started with two outs.  After a force out, Taylor Bauman walked and Droge was hit by a pitch.  With a full count and the runners moving, Riley Well's laced a three run single down the right field line.  On the next pitch Tate Steinlage homered to left-center field for the final margin.  Brendon Garrett came on to retire the side in order in the seventh to give Sabetha its 31st win of the year. Atchison's lone run came on a one-out Derek Beveal homer in the fourth.
