( KNZA )--An Everest man convicted on two felony drug charges has been placed on probation.
Cody Rhyne was sentenced Monday in Brown County District Court to 18 months in prison on a charge of conspiracy to commit possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and to 8 months in prison on a charge of arranging the sale or purchase of drugs by communication device.
However, the prison sentence was suspended and Rhyne was placed on 18 months supervised probation.
He pleaded no contest to the charges last month.
According to court documents, the offenses occurred on September 9th of last year.
Rhyne was arrested following an investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.
