A single-vehicle accident on I-29 in Holt County, Missouri Sunday night sent an Elwood, Kansas woman to the hospital.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that 53-year-old Joy McGuire was traveling south when she struck a deer that had entered the roadway.
McGuire was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph for treatment of minor injuries.
Her car received extensive damage.
The accident was reported around 9:40 Sunday night about five miles south of Mound City.
