Missouri Primary Voter Registration Deadline Today
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) – Today (Wednesday) is the last day for Missourians who want to vote in the upcoming August primary to register.
Secretary of State Robin Carnahan says that Missourians need to be registered by today if they want to take part in the August 7 primary election.
Carnahan says residents can register in person or by mail, and a mailed voter registration application has to be postmarked by the July 11 deadline in order to cast a ballot in the August primary.
In addition to other races, Missouri Republicans will be voting in the primary to select a candidate to run against incumbent Sen. Claire McCaskill, a Democrat. The GOP candidates for that race include businessman John Brunner, former state Treasurer Sarah Steelman and Congressman Todd Akin.
