( KNZA )--The Brown County Commission Monday wrapped up their review of 2013 budget requests.
Department heads and representatives of organizations receiving funding from the county met with the commission to go over their budget requests for next year.
Of the 13 budget requests reviewed, all but two were for funding increases. The largest funding increase request was for the road and bridge department, a more than $330,000 increase to $2.6 million for 2013.
Commissioners will now begin the process of drafting a proposed 2013 budget for publication.
Commissioner Warren Ploeger says the largest unknown is what health insurance will cost for county employees.
Commissioners will consider adoption of a 2013 budget following a public hearing, which is expected in August.
