Plans are underway for the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Hiawatha Halloween Frolic.
Hiawatha Chamber of Commerce Administrator Stacy Babb updated city commissioners Monday evening on the event planned for Friday, October 31st, 2014.
Babb says a committee helping organize the event is in its first stages of fundraising and planning...( play audio )
Mayor Crosby Gernon said he anticipated the commission budgeting some money the next two years to help with the event.

Babb said it’s an opportunity to show Hiawatha’s hometown character off and they are very excited to be part of the event. With the community’s help, she says they hope to make it an event to remember.
