Blue Springs Man Indicted on Federal Drug Charges

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced Wednesday, the federal Grand Jury for the District of Nebraska has returned 31 indictments charging 31 defendants.  Indictments are charging documents that contain one or more individual counts that are merely accusations, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Among the 31 indicted is David Mueller, age 63, of Blue Springs, Nebraska.  Mueller is charged with conspiring with others to distribute 50 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine beginning on or about September, 2010, and continuing through June, 2012. The maximum possible penalty includes imprisonment of not less than 5 years and up to 40 years, a $5 million fine, a 5 year term of supervised release and a $100 special assessment.
