Three more candidates have filed for the Jackson County Commission.
Bill Elmer of Hoyt filed today ( Thursday ) for the 3rd District commission seat.
Elmer is the fourth candidate to file for the seat.
He joins Roy Ogden of rural Mayetta, who filed Tuesday, in seeking the Democratic nomination.
Ogden previously held the seat from 1996 to 2000.
Two Republicans are also seeking the position---incumbent Larry Fenske and former commissioner Brad Hamilton.
Meanwhile, Janet Zwonitzer of Holton filed Wednesday for the 2nd District commission seat.
Zwonitzer joins Ryan Shaw, Ed Lutz and Doug Fisher in seeking the Republican nomination.
The winner of the Republican primary election in August will face Democrat Harold Kennedy during the general election in November.
The seat is currently held by Roger Coverdale.
