On May 29 from noon- 2 p.m. Edward Jones Office hosted a child safety event promoting bicycle safety and child seat inspections for children at the Fisher Center in Hiawatha.
The Brown County Sheriffs office and Hiawatha Police Department assisted in the event.
Officer Janet Jeffery of the Hiawatha Police Department registered bicycles.
Kids maneuvered their bicycles through an obstacle course that was set up in the northeast corner of the parking lot.
Child safety seat techs were on hand to inspect car seats.
Ice cream and pop was provided for all.
A bicycle helmet drawing was held after the event.
