Doniphan County Undersheriff Chad Clary is seeking to become the county’s next sheriff.
Clary, a Highland Republican, is the first candidate to file for the position. Clary has served as undersheriff since 2004.
Longtime Sheriff Jerry Dubach announced this week he will not seek re-election after serving in the position for 26 years.
Also County Attorney Charles Baskins, a Troy Republican, has filed for re-election. Baskins has served as county attorney since 2004.
Candidates have until noon, June 1st to file.
